To have your application considered:
18 years of age;
High School Diploma or Equivalent;
Possess a valid Missouri Driver's License;
Eligible to obtain a Missouri Class B Driver's License;
Eligible to obtain a Missouri EMT License.

Complete written entrance exam 
Complete the physical practical within the time limit constraints
Complete the oral interview
Pass criminal background check
Complete and pass the pre-employment physical

Within 12 months of hire:
Obtain and maintain State of Missouri EMT license

Have or obtain State of Missouri Firefighter I & II certification

Live within the 25-mile area of Jefferson City boundary. (see map here)
