Clint Smith, AICP, Director of Planning & Protective Services

Clint Smith is the Director of Planning and Protective Services and has been with the City of Jefferson since 2023. Prior to that, he worked in the Community Development Department with the City of Columbia for over 9 years. Mr. Smith has been involved in the Planning field for over 18 years and has worked for several different municipalities over that time. Mr. Smith did his undergraduate studies in Geography at the University of Missouri-Columbia and continued his education with his graduate studies in Community Planning at the University of Cincinnati. He is a member of the American Planning Association’s professional institute, the American Institute of Certified Planners.
