Fire Fighters I.A.F.F Local 671

Jefferson City Fire Fighters Local 671 has 60+ members.  The Local was organized on September 16, 1940. The Local has a long tradition of community service.

An annual BBQ helps fund our community service which supports local and state charities, such as the Jefferson City Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, Samaritan Center, and Camp Quality just to name a few.  The Local is also active during the Christmas holiday with collecting toys for the needy as part of the Salvation Army collection.  Perhaps our biggest fund raising event is the yearly boot drive to help the M.D.A.  With the support of our fire chief, administration and of course the public, over $15,000.00 is raised in the two day period.

Jefferson City Fire Fighters Local 671 also sponsors an annual blood drive at the Summer Fire School that is hosted in Jefferson City by University of Missouri Fire Rescue Training.  Firefighters from across the nation attend this annual event and roll up their sleeves to donate blood to the Community Blood Center in Jefferson City.
