From the Chief
The fire service is a dynamic and demanding career path. Our selection process is competitive, the introductory training is difficult, and there will be new challenges daily.

Our department is committed to ongoing preparation in order to maintain a strong mental and physical edge. Long, intense work days and sleepless nights occur more often than not. You will find that firefighting is the perfect combination of hands-on, blue-collar grit and tradition combined with cutting-edge technology. You will see heartache as you help people through their most traumatic moments, but few careers are as personally rewarding.

Through faithful service, you will develop a bond with fellow firefighters that is forged by the reality that your lives depend on each other. Ultimately you will have worked for a noble cause and dedicated yourself to the service of our community.
