Can't decide what to get Mom and Dad for their upcoming anniversary? Looking for a lasting remembrance of a loved one? Want a unique way to celebrate the birth of your child? Through the Commemorative Tree and Memorial Bench Program, you can establish a living memorial and beautify your parks at the same time.

During the planting season (September-early March), Parks and Recreation staff will plant a tree from the list below. After planting, a memorial plaque will be installed in front of the commemorative tree.

Types of trees available include Eastern Redbud, Kousa Dogwood, Little Leaf Linden, Sawtooth Oak, White Oak, Burr Oak, White Pine, Saucer Magnolia, and Tina Crabapple.

An application is available at the link below or at the Parks and Recreation office. Commemorative trees are $200 per tree. Applications are accepted year long. Trees are planted September 1 through March 31 each year. For more information, contact the City Forester at (573) 634-6509.
