Phil Stiles named JC Parks Assistant Director

On Monday, April 22^nd, JC Parks proudly announced that Phil Stiles accepted the position of Assistant Director of Recreation. Phil brings an impressive 38 years of dedication and expertise to this role, having served as the Senior Program Manager of Special Events since 2017. Phil’s journey with Jefferson City Parks and Recreation began in June 1986 when he joined as a Recreation Supervisor after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Park administration from the University of Missouri – Columbia.

 

In his new capacity, Phil will oversee a wide range of recreation programs and staff, including day camps, outdoor recreation, youth and adult sports, aquatics, ice sports, special populations, active living, concessions, and The Linc. His pivotal role was previously held by JC Parks Director Aaron Grefrath.

Despite graduating from Windsor High School in Windsor, Missouri, Phil’s heart has always been in Jefferson City, where he currently resides with his wife, Kelli, and their family.

Throughout his tenure, Phil has been a cornerstone of the parks and recreation community throughout Missouri, revered for his wisdom, problem-solving skills, and attentive leadership. His wealth of experience and dedication will undoubtedly continue to elevate JC Parks to new heights.
